The Centre, located in Gdańsk, will function as a hub for innovation and develop state-of-the-art business and technology solutions to help us navigate the future. And we want to do that together with you.For our location in Gdansk we are looking for a Data Landscape Solution Architect.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

We are looking for highly skilled & motivated Solution Architects who enjoy seeing their work making a measurable impact to a business and disrupting the status quo.Our development squads will consist of Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers and Data Analysts and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the entire product.Key Duties and Responsibilities:As a Solution Architect, you will be part of our IT-product team. Your task is to actively consult and advise the team members as well as the key stakeholders. Your focus will lie on a holistic view on robust, scalable architectures and future-proof concepts that integrate into our existing and shape our future IT landscape. This includes:

  • Designing architecture for our new technology software solutions
  • Participating from earliest stages of the project, designing ideas, proposing technical concepts, making the choices on the applications’ shape
  • Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
  • Auditing existing infrastructures in the cloud
  • Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Document existing systems architecture using UML
  • Acting as key stakeholder and decision maker in order to keep best development practices throughout the software development cycle
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team, cooperation with Developers, Engineers and Analysts
  • Data structure reviews, achieving highest possible system performance by conducting software optimizations
  • Continually identifying and implementing improvements through technical debt reduction
  • Actively contributing to the scrum process (stand ups, automated tests, retrospectives, etc.) and the overall output of the team
  • Ensure that beside the functional also the non-functional requirements are met
  • Meeting regulatory compliance standards

Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Skills:

  • Experience in similar role, with responsibilities including architecture design, technology project advisory, decision making, mentoring developers
  • Experience in the design and development of software in the architecture of micro-services and distributed systems
  • Ability to design Cloud solutions. knowledge of AWS Cloud: EC2, EKS, ECS
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Knowledge of technology: Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform and deploying applications on AWS,
  • Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Strong bias for action and ownership
  • Good spoken and written English language skills
  • Analytical thinking ability, solving complex problems and being able to think creatively
  • Being able to match world of business and technology, present your own ideas in the best possible way and influence or motivate others
  • Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile team
  • Business oriented attitude
  • Will to increase domain knowledge and build relationship with users
  • Have a mindset of continuous improvement in everything you do
  • Embrace best practices and modern architectural paradigms
  • Utilize Metrics
  • Tenacious, with a pride in what you do

Desirable Skills:

  • A degree in computing, IT or a numerate discipline
  • Ability to negotiate and compromise solutions
  • Advocate for agile practices
  • Go beyond pure Application Architecture to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities
  • Facilitating and orchestrating the delivery of targeted business outcomes
  • Communicating with multiple internal and external services & APIs
  • Experience and passion to work in DevOps approach
  • Practical knowledge of BI and Data Landscape concepts: data modeling, star-schema, shared nothing, partitioning, data-vault or any other
  • Specific experience of using our development tools: Eclipse, Jenkins, GIT or any other
