Join us and drive change

In 1923, our Danish founders began a journey to change diabetes. Today, we are thousands of employees across the world with the passion, the skills and the commitment to drive change to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases.

Novo Nordisk is a global healthcare company with a long and strong history of innovation and leadership in diabetes care. This heritage has given us experience and capabilities that also enable us to help people defeat obesity, haemophilia, growth disorders and other serious chronic diseases.

Headquartered in Denmark, Novo Nordisk employs approximately 42,700 people in 80 countries, and markets its products in around 170 countries.

In 2019, we started the journey to transform our People & Organisation function and the way we in HR provide value to the business. Global People & Organisation Services was established as the organisation to handle all operational HR support and services and as part of this we have decided to establish a Regional Service Centre for HR in Warsaw co-locating with our affiliate and business area office. The aim is to support our employees and managers across Europe so they can focus on being the best at what they do to the benefit of our patients and to continue making Novo Nordisk a great company. We are excited about this and hope you will join us for a truly life-changing career.

Novo Nordisk in Poland

In Poland, over 3 million people suffer from diabetes, and more than 5 million from pre-diabetes. Up to 90% of patients live with type 2 diabetes, which is a global pandemic – leading to complications and pre-mature deaths.

Novo Nordisk in Warsaw employs 200 employees in the Polish Affiliate and the Business Area Office, supporting the Eastern European countries.

Novo Nordisk has always prioritised educational and CSR initiatives. In Poland, Novo Nordisk has partnered on many activities like ‘Scigamy sie z cukrzycą’ (‘We are racing with diabetes’, running wide screenings and educational workshops). We are now proud to support introduction of the global program Cities Changing Diabetes to Poland as the first country from Central Europe. Warsaw is the first city in Poland to join the program. The program is to work on solutions aimed at stopping the increase of diabetes in Polish cities. The Cities Changing Diabetes program addresses diabetes risk factors in urban settings. Our goal is that no more than 1 in 10 adults globally has diabetes by 2045. We can bend the curve of rising diabetes by reducing obesity by 25%.

Poland is important in Novo Nordisk’s clinical development strategy. The Clinical Development Centre (CDC) has operated as a regional hub with headquarters in Warsaw. The CDC conducts and manages clinical trials in 16 countries, including Poland. CDC Poland employs over 50 people.
